K1NU Consulting - Digital Tower Imaging

Is the zoning board (or your neighbor, or your spouse) worried about what your proposed antenna support structure is going to look like?  Well, use digital imaging techniques to show them before you move one shovel of dirt!

Here's an example of the results you can achieve with digital imaging. These are the before, simulated, and actual after pictures of the 75' tower at my last QTH (click on each picture to see it enlarged):

Before
Tower simulation (tree is airbrushed out)
Actual tower (with tree removed)

See my article "Raise Your Tower - Without Ever Breaking Ground", co-authored with K1IR, in February 2001 QST.  In this article we describe everything you need to know to do this yourself. Or....

...you can hire me to craft the photos for you. The cost can be tailored to your needs; you can provide me with the 'before' images or I can take them myself, we can do any combination of towers, viewing angles, etc. A rough estimate is that I can create 1-2 simulated images per hour depending on complexity, once I have all the 'before' pictures in digital form. Add to that any charges for photo taking, scanning, etc.

Once simulated, I can provide you with just the digital files, or have them printed for you very inexpensively.

See my Tower Permit Document Set  page for the entire package.
