All tower site work was done by Matt, KC1XX, and Andrew
of XX Towers. They are the
BEST. Tell them I sent you.
We put up 67' of Rohn 45 (60' + 7' top section), with
guys at 30' and 60'. I broke up each guy into 3 sections: 3' / 27' / remaining.
The parts and crew arrive. |
The Tennadyne T10, tested and cabled, anxiously sits
in the yard. |
Andrew prepares the guy wire assemblies. |
The first 20' and mast are tilted into place. |
Installing top section. |
Andrew bolting the T10 in place.
Yes, it was a little foggy out. |
Voila, she is finished!
From top to bottom:
T10 @ 72', Sidemount @ 60' (2m Ringo,
placeholders for dipole feedpoints)
Yaesu G1000SDX rotor @ 55'
Feedlines are carried underground to the shack at the
rear of the house (behind the garage in this picture) in a 3" PVC conduit.
No, the small building on the left is not the radio shack! It's just a
shed. It does make for a good picture though, hi! |
